What it is

Replacing mouse-and-keyboard CAD with a gesture-tracking glove.

An IMU-equipped glove that reads hand movement and feeds it into CAD software as input. The AR/holographic half the name points at doesn't exist yet; what's built is the glove and the motion-to-input pipeline.

Build stages

  1. 00

    Built

    Glove tracks the hand

An IMU on a glove reads hand orientation and movement in real time.

  2. 00

    Built

    Motion becomes input

Sensor data is translated into input a CAD program already understands, standing in for a mouse and keyboard.

  3. 00

    In progress

    Gestures drive CAD directly

Rotate, pan, and select 3D models by moving your hand instead of dragging a cursor.

  4. 00

    Planned

    Holographic / AR visualization

Viewing and manipulating the model through an AR/holographic display. Not built yet; current work is glove-side only.
