MLP

Where MLP began

Robotics is the reason MLP exists.

Three high schoolers, a combat robot, and a $300 fee to join their school's team. MLP started as the fix, and combat robotics is still the core of the mission.

The barrier

Before MLP was a company, it was three people who loved robots. Their school's team cost up to $300 to join, and if you weren't already skilled, you got sidelined while the team leads did the real work.

They entered their first combat robotics competition as “MLP,” then started building the funding, workshops, and mentorship that could replace that experience.

Three barriers, removed on purpose.

What kept the founders out is what MLP now funds, teaches, and mentors.

  • Money

We fund your project, up to a cap set each program term.

  • Knowledge

Workshops build the mechanical, electrical, and software fundamentals in order.

  • Direction

A mentor helps you pick a first project that's small enough to finish.

Toward competition
