The hex-cell surface isn't decoration applied to a vase shape — it's the structural wall itself, generated parametrically so every cell holds the same proportions as it wraps the curve.
Thin-walled and translucent, it catches light the way honeycomb catches light in a hive: brightest at the edges of each cell, darkest where the walls overlap.
